Telenor network services has the capacity to undertake engineering works in the area of access technologies and optical network products, optical fiber cables including fiber optic termination and splicing. We strive to continuously develop in-house competencies in new and latest technologies in the field of Optical Communication and Access Network Technologies. Our Engineers have participated in a number of projects and have gained valuable training and sufficient knowledge in the installation of Optical fiber cables, Optical fiber Accessories (Optical Fiber Splice Closure, Termination Box, and Fiber Distribution Frame), Optical Test Measuring Instruments i.e. Optical power meter and Optical fiber. They have also exposure to various optical network products including SDH family – STM-1/4/16/64, DWDM family, XDSL access network  (ADSL), PDH products family, Cross-connect  equipment family, Transmission synchronization equipment, FSO (Free Space Optics) system, Optical measuring instruments family ( PDH/SDH Analyzer). Our teams have been involved in installations of FTTH and FTTB in major buildings within safaricom network among them The Mirage, Western Heights, Village market. We have been involved in FTTS design and implementation for over 15kms in central Kenya with delivery of end to end scope until FOC. Our engineers are all fiber certified to safaricom standards
